Registration for the 2024-2025 Foothill ROBOTICS/ FLL League is now open!  

 

About the FOOTHILL ROBOTICS TEAM

The Foothill Robotics Team (also known as Lego League) was created to give our students an understanding of the engineering design process and robotics skills. 

 

This year's program will be managed by Shailesh Rai. 

 

All students in 4th and 5th grades are welcome to participate. 

 

The group will work together in teams to learn the following engineering fundamentals.

 

Engineering Design Process Robotics Skills

• Defining the problem

• Developing solutions

• Testing solutions

• Communicating solutions

• Iteration

• States and Transitions
• Sensors and Actuators
• Rotational Motion
• Motion in a Line – Velocity and Acceleration 

 

Parent Informational Session: We will be hosting an informational session for all interested parents on August 26th at 7pm.

 

Practice Dates: We plan to meet on the following schedule:

  • Room 9 at school will be available Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays 3:00pm -6:15pm
  • Teams will meet for their build sessions once/week

 

Cost: 

The cost to participate is $325 per student. This allows us to purchase all the necessary supplies as well as register for competitions. 

 

Parental Commitment:

All Parents must be current on their PTA membership dues and be available to volunteer for a minimum of one session, scrimmage or competition.

 

Please also ensure that you've completed the parent volunteer waiver and student participant waiver.
