Foothill Elementary PTA Presents

Attention all NYC Newsies, it's time to Carry the Banner and Seize the Day! Auditions are approaching and we are so excited to welcome new and returning students to the annual Foothill musical! 

Audition Schedule for Newsies Jr (students will attend both days):

Tuesday, August 25th, Foothill MPR

3:05-4:00 3rd Grade

4:10-5:00 4th Grade

5:10-6:00 5th Grade

Wednesday, August 26th, Foothill MPR

3:05-4:10 All Boys

4:15-5:30 All Girls

The annual Foothill Elementary PTA Musical is open to all 3rd-5th graders. Stage/Tech Crew is open to 5th graders only-no exceptions. We cast all students who audition, with the goal of creating 2 casts. (Stage/Tech crew do NOT need to attend auditions, but DO need to register below).

Steps to Register for Newsies Jr:

1) Please access the Audition Info and Materials Info for important information.

2) Join our Newsies Jr. Google Classroom (code: yhmgb3qg) (Newsies Invite Link)

(NOTE: You cannot use your saratogausd.org or many work related emails. Students/Parents should use a personal email to join)

3) OPEN: Complete the PTA Registration for your student, including 5th graders wishing to join Stage/Tech Crew (you must be singed into your PTA account to access the musical registration. If you have multiple students, please complete registrations for each child)

4) All students who choose to participate in any PTA activity must sign the annual PTA Waiver (you must be singed into your PTA account to access the Waiver).

5) Treehouse Families ONLY-You must email Ms. Kia (kyamamoto@saratogausd.org) and consent for your student(s) to be released for musical auditions and rehearsals. 

Newsies Jr Performances: December 11-13, 2026 (Saratoga Civic Theater)

We rehearse Tuesdays and Wednesday, 3:00-6:00 (Foothill MPR) and Sundays by cast, either 1:00-2:30 or 2:30-4:00 (Joan Pisani Community Center)
